Finale
Finale is the third and final book in the Caraval series and picks up a few months after the events in Legendary; where Legend is now in charge, and the Fates are slowly escaping and regaining their powers. The sisters needs to figure out how to save the realm from the Fates, and how to save their hearts from being broken. After the shock of meeting the Fates in the previous book, I was able to go with the flow here as new Fates, new fated objects, and new fated places were introduced. Both girls have their own journeys in this book, and where they each end up was very surprising.
Scarlet and Julian remain my favorite couple in this series, and I loved seeing Scarlet make some decisions for her own happiness. Tella and Legend on the other hand? Their relationship was predictable at best, abusive and manipulative at worst. There were a lot of unanswered questions in Legendary that I don’t feel were answered here. Yes, some were… but not all. Even more questions were created, and I was still left unsure about the rules of this world.
As the final book in this series, it does a decent job of wrapping most things up but still leaves the door open for more stories in the future.
