  1. World Building - Is the world of the book worth spending time in?

  2. Characters - Am I able to connect with the characters, or find them interesting?

  3. Plot - Is the plot engaging and does it leave me wanting more?

Another unique aspect of this tale is how it handles magic. Here it’s called “Sympathy”, and it’s a very unique take on how magic works. I found the concept of sympathy fascinating, and I really felt like it was something I could learn, if only I had the right books.
